This is a German box from 1944 (the date appears on its repacking report, it may be from 1943) and was used to transport Riegielmine 43 anti-tank mines (R. Mi. 43 for short) used mainly on highways (they were well camouflaged on them due to their its rectangular, elongated and flat shape) but it also had three detonators in the field, of which false fuses could be added, which made disarmament difficult. Coming back to the box itself, it has an original padlock, but the plate that secured the box against opening has a broken clasp (probably, the owners needed this box a long time ago, but they didn't have the key, so they ripped out the lock). Apart from the broken part of the padlock clasp, the compartments that separated the mines during transport are also missing. Apart from these details, the box looks really good and is in a condition that I would rate as good+. There are also 3 sheets of paper on the chest, of which the one outside the chest is almost completely torn off and you can't read anything on it. Fortunately, the remaining two are in very good condition and you can read what is written on them without any major problems -
