Komar MR232
Komar MR232 is an iconic Polish moped. This particular model was produced from 1963 to 1969 in the ZZR factory ("ZZR-Zjednoczenie Zakłady Rowerowe ROMET"-United Bicycle Works Romet) in Bydgoszcz. It had a two-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled S38B engine produced at the plant in Nowy Dęba. It had a power rating of 1.4 Horsepower at 4,000 rpm. This allows you to accelerate from 40 to 50 kilometers per hour (about 25 miles per hour to 31 miles per hour), but I would only count on a performance of 50 km (31 miles) with the wind blowing at my back and going downhill. We owe such low performance (which was better in the older version of the vehicle [Komar MR230]) to the change in regulations regarding mopeds in Poland introduced in 1962. Interestingly, in Poland, until 2003, you did not have to wear a protective helmet while riding a moped. MR232 mosquitoes were exported to Germany and the Netherlands under the name Mofa-25 "Condor".
